About Hidden Valley

Hidden Valley is a horse lover’s paradise

We all know the benefits of living in the country, but moving there isn't practical for many of us. Located in the hills of Ourimbah on the NSW Central Coast of Australia, just over an hour from Sydney, Hidden Valley Farm is a picturesque 370 acre retreat complete with horse riding, pool, tennis and many more activities for all the family to enjoy.

Established as a not for profit co-operative in 1977, Hidden Valley Farm offers members, their families and friends, unlimited access to a perfect rural getaway.

How does it operate?

The members and Board are involved in the smooth running of the property, and an equine caretaker looks after our horses.  Some members agist their own horses (at additional cost) on the property but company horses cater to all levels of rider and are well loved by adults and children alike.  As Hidden Valley is a co-operative, members contribute to the ongoing maintenance and operation through a  yearly levy and help with working bees.
Membership allows unlimited access to all the facilities, activities and benefits a visit to the Valley farm provides. This includes free horse riding, swimming pool, tennis, bush walking with direct access to the State Forest and Great North Walk, or if you prefer, the chance to just relax and do nothing at all! Occasional weekend working bees and special events are organised for the benefit and enjoyment of all.

Accommodation

Pull up a chair on the sunny verandah of the Hidden Valley cabin blocks, gaze upon acres of bushland and share a relaxing moment with some of the farms resident wildlife including, bush turkeys, blue wrens and kookaburras!

Members and their guests stay in cabin rooms in one of two cabin-blocks, or some prefer to camp in the separate camping area. We have both 4 and 6 berth cabins. Each cabin has bunk beds, basic storage areas for food and clothes, a bar fridge and food preparation area. Verandahs along the front of the cabins provide a beautiful outlook and house barbecues at each end.

All cabins have easy access to centrally located communal toilet and shower blocks, laundry and communal kitchen, plus a large recreation area which has a warm log fire for cold winter nights. There are also communal barbecues and picnic tables at 'The Barn' near the swimming pool and tennis courts.

"We joined Hidden Valley 20 years ago when our kids were little, they grew up here, spending weekends and holidays with other families and their kids. Now we bring our grandchild here as well. It was the best thing we ever did, lasting friendships have been made."

Gail and John Beverley

"Free range living at its best. Kids can be kids without the distractions of internet and electronics. It reminds me of my childhood."

John Reynolds
