How to Become a Member

If you are contemplating membership*, we'd love you to come and take a look at the Valley in person.

However, because Hidden Valley is a private Co-operative, you will need to make an appointment. Click here to email us or contact the Manager  by phone: +612 4362 1438 or fax: +612 4362 2176.
 

1. Hidden Valley Application for Membership of the Co-operative Society

On acceptance by the Society and the payment of ten dollars by the applicant, you will be issued with five shares in the Hidden Valley Owners Co-operative Society Ltd.

2. Hidden Valley Family Members Form

This form provides Hidden Valley with information about yourself, your spouse and all of your dependants. Note: This information is kept confidential at all time in the Valley Office.

3. A Transfer Document

This document is for the transfer of five shares in the Hidden Valley Owners Co-operative Society Ltd from a retiring member to a new member joining the society.

4. An Authority to Date and to Complete Form

This allows the Society to complete the documentation required for the lodgement with the lands department to register the title transfer in the Member's name.
Note: A fee for undertaking the transfer applies if undertaken by the Co-operative Society.

5. NSW Government Transfer Form 01T (Real Property Act)

This is used when a current Title holder is transferring their Certificate of Title for 1/500th interest in the property directly to a new member. When downloading this form (unless specifically instructed otherwise) select the Standard execution option for both the transferor and transferee. It should be lodged with the NSW Lands Department after having paid the required stamp duty. There is also a nominal transfer fee to be paid to the NSW Lands Department.
Note: This interest cannot be sold or negotiated until the lease of the property held by the Co-operative Society expires in 2076. It is a condition of acceptance to the Co-operative Society that each member must have one five hundredth interest in the actual property.

6. A copy of the By-Laws of the Society

are not supplied but can be obtained through the office for a small fee. You will receive confirmation of receipt from the Manager or the Hidden Valley Board. Once your application for membership has been confirmed as received, you can start to use the Valley immediately.
