Duty Managers Manual
The Duty Manager's Manual contains information necessary to manage the day to day running of Hidden Valley in the absence of the Manager. As Duty Manager you are required to feed up the horses in the morning and afternoon and organise that the trail rides are staffed with two authorised Wranglers per group. NOTE: You do not have to be a Wrangler to be a Duty Manager, you simply need to ensure that there are wranglers to take the rides. In the case of wet weather or unforseen circumstances, it is the Duty Manager's job (possibly in consultation with a Wrangler) to decide if trails should be cancelled or not and how many members/guests are able to ride out. As Duty Manager, your word is final. Courses to equip you for Duty Manager and Wrangler are held periodically at the Valley with the Manager. Only authorised participants of these courses are permitted to hold either of these positions. NOTE: All Wranglers must also hold a current Advanced First Aid qualification. Each Duty Manager will be handed a hard copy of the Manual by the Manager prior to their roster along with updated paddock rotation information and feed instructions for agisted horses. If you think the information in the Manual needs correction, alteration or further detail, please contact the office at manager@hiddenvalley.com.au Amendments can then be made and uploaded.
